Local PC Builder Overview:Microsoft contacted Travel Vacation Vouchers about using the nationally known Getaway for Two premium to increase their local PC Builder sales. The focus of the program was to add value to local PC Builder merchants that typically had to compete with big-box retailers for market share.When a consumer purchased a PC loaded with a genuine Microsoft® Windows® XP operating system through a local PC builder and used the Windows Genuine Advantage program to validate the software, they also got the opportunity to take advantage of the Buy Local BONUS PACK , featuring two complimentary airline tickets (with purchase of lodging), and other valuable free offers!
Travel Vacation Vouchers assisted the Microsoft marketing department with the development of a web-based application that provided customers with program information and online redemption. Numerous point-of-purchase collateral pieces were implemented within the program including counter cards, post cards, and fax broadcasts.
